You can be proactive in your quest for career success after baby. You can prepare for a positive return to work experience in just 4 weeks!!

The Smooth Return Course is a 4 week interactive online coaching course that teaches effective strategies to professional women who want to continue to have career success after starting a family.

Whether you are pregnant or about to finish maternity leave in the next few months, The Smooth Return Course will equip you with the tools and strategies you need to succeed at home and at work.

On my return to work following the birth of my son and the new set of priorities this gave me, I found I suddenly had more questions than answers when it came to my career. I searched for a coach who would “get it” and help me navigate various issues, including choosing the right career path for me. By asking probing questions and talking me through my responses, Janine helped me to find clarity about my future direction in just one session. I came away rejuvenated and with a renewed sense of purpose and direction. Thank you Janine!

This course is for action taking professional women who do not want to leave the success of their post-baby career to chance. You have taken courses that prepared you for becoming a mother and baby classes to support your baby’s development. Now you are looking for a resource that will help you plan your return to work so that you can return to work without anxiety and overwhelm.

This course will help you to:

  • Get clear on their post-baby career goals and strategy;
  • Develop the mindset required to be a confident working parent;
  • Understand and leverage your strengths so that you can make an impact at work without working crazy hours;
  • Learn strategies for effective balancing work and family life; and
  • Become part of a supportive community of women going through the same transition.

We kick start our time together with a live coaching workshop, where you will dive into the foundation topics such as identifying your post-baby values, adjusting to your new identity and addressing your working parent expectations.

This is also your time to meet your fellow course “smooth returners”. You will connect with other amazing professional women and start building relationships that may continue well beyond the duration of the program.

There will be a private facebook group exclusively for smooth returners. You will be able to connect with and build relationships with other working mums returning to work around the same time

The course content is released in weekly modules which include instructional video or audio training and corresponding worksheets. Course participants will receive individual access to an online members only site which includes a forum where you can ask questions and communicate with the course facilitators and fellow “smooth returners”.

Each week there will be a live coaching call by way of teleconference, where you can dial in and share (or just listened to others share) how they are progressing through the modules and any challenges they are facing.

I will be there as your coach, guide and cheerleader. We are in this together! AND you will be a “smooth returner” for life, so will be able to revisit the course materials long after the course is finished.

With bounds of energy, positivity and enthusiasm combined with pragmatism, experience and the ability to think outside the (light)box, I came out of my coaching session with a clear idea of my next steps. Janine helped me to assess my priorities for a career move and offered gems of wisdom which will help me on my way to my next role. Janine is a good listener and it was great to be able to discuss my queries and concerns with her. She is a fantastic coach and a great role model for women.

Health and Nutrition Coach

Rachel Collins is The Mum’s Health Coach and Founder of the #MumsEmbrace Movement. Rachel believes that Motherhood can EXPAND our world and she shows mums how to make that happen! So many mums feel their world shrink after having a baby, they are exhausted and hormonal, lose their identity and financial independence, hobbies get left behind.
It happened to Rachel after her first baby was born.
“Fed up with feeling shattered and a little bit like I had been flung back into the 1950’s, I made some big changes to the way I designed my life.  I took control of what I was eating. Not only is food our fuel and a key source of energy, our food and our mood are intricately connected. Without great nutrition, you won’t have the energy or the motivation to embrace life. I worked to change my perspective on motherhood, threw the ‘should’s out the window and said bye-bye to Mum guilt. Changing your thoughts can change your life!”
It is Rachel’s mission to help other Mums break down some of the biggest blockers to living life to the full; low energy levels, low self-esteem and Mum guilt. Get ready Mums – it’s time to embrace everything life has to offer.

Each module is broken down into bite sized lessons delivered via a short video or audio training. I suggest you dedicate 2-3 hours each week to watching / listening to the training and completing the course workbook. You can also spend additional time hanging out in the private facebook group and getting to know your fellow smooth returners.

The investment for each individual participant is £249. You may want to ask your employer to pay for your place on the course. Your calm and confident return to work will benefit your firm / organisation as much as it will benefit you (and your little one).

I know it is sometimes hard to put yourself first. Your child comes first and you come second. So, you will spend money on baby clothes, baby groups and activities before spending money on anything for yourself.  Makes sense. But, when it comes to investing in yourself, remember that a happy baby = happy mum.

Don’t leave having a positive transition to life as a working parent to chance.

Take control of your return to work experience and join us as we get a concrete plan in place for your working parent success.

If you are an employer who would like to learn more about how The Smooth Return Course can benefit team members returning from maternity leave, please get in touch for details on group rates.

Giving back is important to us, so 10% of each course sale will be donated to The International Justice Mission, an organisation committed to seeking and gaining justice on behalf of those that are unable to get sufficient access to justice.
